When the fountain of the Brasília Presidential Palace is turned on on National Day, the mica fragments mixed in the water blend with the sunset, forming an unbreakable champagne gold foam. When these foams hit the glass curtain wall of the neo-futuristic building, they burst into nano-sized rhombic sequins, forming a flowing national flag totem during the military band’s performance.
